Events”

Saturday, July 4, 2009 7:00 a.m. - 5K Run starting from the Elko Basque Clubhouse 10:00 a.m. - Parade starts in front of the Crystal Theatre and ends at the Farigrounds. 12:00 p.m. - Fairground events will begin. There will be: Contests - Basque Dancing - Demonstrations at the Fairgrounds (admission is $5.00 per person and free to children under the age of 12) 6:00 p.m. - Handball at the Elko City Handball Court 6:00 p.m. - Firework Presentation begins at the Elko County Farigrounds (featuring the Boise Oinkari Dancers) 10:00 p.m. - The Evening Dance will be held at the Basque Clubhouse. Admission is $10.00 (featuring "Amuma Says No") |
9:00 a.m. - Handball at the Elko City Handball Court 11:00 a.m. - Catholic Mass followed by the Basque Bread Contest 12:00 p.m. - Picnic - (lunch will be tri-tip, lamb chops, paella, salad, beans, bread, and wine) (Meal tickets are $12.00 for Adults and $6.00 for Children) Chorizos will be $3.00, Mix drinks $4.00, Beer and Wine $3.00, and Sodas and Water $1.00
